A Historic Estate Reborn
The story of Crama Mircești begins long before the winery was founded. More than a century ago, a noble Moldovan family built a manor house on one of the area's highest hills, rising over 300 meters above sea level. The estate enjoyed a prosperous existence until the outbreak of World War II, when the family emigrated to Europe, leaving the property behind.
During the Soviet era, the manor served various purposes, including a kindergarten and facilities associated with the local collective farm, known as a kolkhoz. Decades of neglect gradually reduced the once-elegant estate to ruins.
Everything changed when entrepreneur Arcadie Fosnea acquired the property. Driven by a vision to restore the estate's former glory, he embarked on an ambitious project to rebuild the manor, revive the surrounding land, and create a winery that would celebrate both the region's heritage and its exceptional terroir.
The result is a remarkable wine estate where history, architecture, hospitality, and viticulture come together. Alongside the winery, the team developed vineyards, a guesthouse, and a traditional restaurant, creating a destination that offers visitors an authentic taste of Moldovan wine culture.

Situated at elevations ranging from 270 to 320 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from excellent sun exposure, cooling air currents, and significant day-night temperature variations.
