Weingut Gattinger

Founded in 2017 by Simon Gattinger, Weingut Gattinger from Austria is rooted in over a century of family winegrowing history in the Loiben Kellergasse, where four generations have shaped their understanding of vineyard work and terroir. 

Simon Gattinger focuses exclusively on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, convinced that these two varieties best express the character of the Wachau. All vineyards are located in Unterloiben and Oberloiben (Dürnstein), the easternmost part of the region, where the Pannonian climate meets the cooling influence of the Danube and surrounding forests. Diverse soils—gneiss, granite, and Danubian gravel—create a mosaic of distinct vineyard expressions.
